The beautiful gardens here at The Grange Restaurant are filled with autumnal colours as summer disappears and autumn beckons. Chef’s tweaks to our lunch menu reflect the change in season, with returns of some wholesome favourites together with new dishes to delight.
For an Asian-inspired hint of warmth, try our tender and tangy new Beef teriyaki with sticky jasmine rice served with roasted mixed peppers, oyster mushrooms and some bright, seasonal green vegetables.
We are so happy to welcome back the scrumptiously popular Grange Fish Pie, filled with salmon, cod and smoked haddock with hard boiled free-range egg, garden peas and dill béchamel sauce, all topped with creamy mash.
Another exotic twist to the menu is the colourful and wholesome lamb tagine rubbed with spices and slow-cooked for the ultimate autumn flavour. It’s served with roast vegetable cous cous, bright pickled red cabbage, chargrilled pitta and Feta cheese and herbs crumbled over it.
Enjoy a lighter bite with our new autumn salads, Curried cauliflower, kale and quinoa salad (V)(Vg)(Gf) served with roast peppers, toasted walnuts and chilli and herb dressing, or Broad bean, Feta cheese and smoked salmon salad with a lemon, yoghurt and dill dressing (pictured below) – both are fully-loaded nutritional boosts!
Pie fans will be delighted with the new Chicken, bacon and leek pie, traditionally served with mashed potato and tenderstem broccoli.
Or settle down with some of our vegan offerings including Mushroom and lentil linguine (V)(Vg)(GfO) served with roasted cherry tomatoes, or a light Falafel and roast red pepper hummus wrap (V)(Vg) served with baby gem lettuce.
And for those with a sweeter tooth, you can top your meal off with a slice of rhubarb and custard cake, or hearty home-made Apple crumble with custard.
